With the only freshwater event in the series, the blue waters and native forest of Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) makes this a very special experience for swimmers and spectators. There are events covering multiple options including a round the lake 3.5km swim to the more challenging Amphibian (swim/run/swim).

Starting in the sunning Whakawerawera Forest and ending at the Tikitapu Lake (Blue Lake) this event covers stunning scenary. Riding one or more laps of the 25km single track, you can choose from three events of 25kms, 50kms or 100kms.

Known as the People’s Marathon, the Rotorua Marathon is not just for serious runners completing the full 42 kms, but also offer options for the half, 10kms and 5.5km. Start & finish line is at Government Gardens which is a short walk from Jet Park Rotorua.

You won’t stay clean, as these 6km or 12km muddy obstacle courses are designed to get you down and dirty whilst having a whole lot of fun. The Crankworx World Tour is a multi-stop series of mountain bike festivals, bringing together the best mountain bike athletes to compete in elite-level competitions in a variety of disciplines. It began in Whistler in 2004 and has since grown into the largest event of its kind in mountain biking and this year Rotorua will be the final stop of the Crankworx World Tour. You will see the King & Queen of Crankworx crowned and the final event of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship (SWC) season.
