At the start of the "Christmas month", staff at Jet Park Hotel got into the Christmas spirit with a Christmas Tree decorating competition that brought out the creative talents and team-work of all staff. Teams were divided into departments with designated areas around the hotel's public areas, so guests get to enjoy the final result. The overall theme being to create Christmas tree decorations and then decorate your tree/area using hand-made recycled materials. Hotel Director, Liz Herrmann judged the final results and announced at the Staff Christmas Party the winner- not one but ALL departments got a share of the cash prize! Says Liz; "The calibre and hard-work put in by all staff made judging very difficult. The only answer was to award all teams."
Teams and Designated areas:
|Kitchen||Te Maroro Restaurant- lower area at fireplace: Gingerbread House and all tables.|
|Food & Beverage||Te Maroro Restaurant- Top section and Indaba Bar.|
|Maintenance and IT||Jet Park Hotel Outdoor Gardens/Grounds.|

|Housekeeping||Lobby Block 4- Lounge Area.|
|Conference||5th Floor Block 4.|

If you see them in the hotel corridors, you will find them with smiling faces always happy to greet you. When guests check-out, they provide a gracious good-bye. If a guest has left anything behind, never fear- they will keep lost property safe. They are happy to serve you.
